VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
o Answer Hotline (day and night shifts)
o Clean and organize shelter
o Work in donations room (accept and process donations)
o Answer office lines during the day
o Setup games and activities for children at parties
o Assist with Children’s group (Tuesdays 5-7)
o Provide general maintenance assistance in the residential facilities
Residential Support Volunteer
Residential Support Volunteers assist in mentoring clients in the residential setting as well as light office work, transportation for appointments, attending to children while client is meeting with advocate, cleaning and organizing residential facilities.
Community Outreach Volunteer
Community Outreach Volunteers have the opportunity to make an impact by going out into the community and setting up awareness booths, taking information to local businesses, advocating at fairs, and getting involved in other events where they can help spread Center of Hope’s mission to end domestic & sexual violence, and stalking. Training must be completed prior to volunteering and will be provided by Center of Hope staff.
Volunteer Qualifications include organizational skills, Prioritizing, Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, caring and sensitive to needs of others. Background check will be conducted
Group/Special Projects
If you or your church, social group, or school are interested in doing a large scale project, we can work with you to get that done. We have many different options you can choose from: making a meal for the women at the shelter, clean out and organizing the storage unit, participating in community outreach events, painting, repairs, etc.
