The Amethyst Affair – Art, Auction and Awareness is an annual fund-raiser organized by the GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club. A proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) – the club actively participates in the federation’s signature project – Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention. We support our local domestic violence shelter by collecting needed household and personal items for the residents and their families; adopting families for Christmas, and planning/presenting this event, our largest fundraising project. Proceeds from the event will be divided between the Center of Hope Domestic Violence Shelter and the club. Our club donated $5,000 to the Center of Hope in 2014.
The second Annual Amethyst Affair will be held on Friday, October 9th in the Ballroom of the UAW Union Hall in Spring Hill, TN from 7 pm – 10 pm. It will include a full dinner, 2 drink coupons, a silent and live auction, wine pull, and presentations from local law enforcement, the Center of Hope Domestic Violence Shelter and local dignitaries. Tickets are $30 per person. Semi-formal/formal dress suggested.
